Today we celebrate a significant milestone for Marabis and for Irapuato, Guanajuato: the inauguration of SK TEC Mexicana at our Castro del Río Industrial Park, located in the municipality of Irapuato. With an investment exceeding 380 million pesos and the construction of an 11,000 m² industrial facility, this project not only strengthens regional economic development but will also generate 80 new direct jobs, creating opportunities for local families and solidifying Guanajuato’s leadership in the automotive value chain.
In her remarks, the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, highlighted the trust that companies like SK TEC place in the competitive advantages of Guanajuato to strengthen the automotive industry and multiply opportunities for local suppliers.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Irapuato, Lorena Alfaro García, emphasized the importance of the investments arriving in the city, noting that this expansion reflects Irapuato’s continued attractiveness to global companies. “Every opening, every expansion, and every investment plan is evidence that something good is happening in our land. It confirms that projects here come to fruition, that there are opportunities, a strong industrial ecosystem, an integrated supply chain, and a reliable environment for investing and growing,” she stated.
Furthermore, she underscored that SK TEC has a presence not only in Mexico but also in key markets such as Japan and the United States, reinforcing Irapuato’s international reputation as a strategic destination for global investment.
