With an investment exceeding $90 million, this project reaffirms global capital’s confidence in the strength and strategic potential of the Bajío region and consolidates our park as a favorite destination for Asian investment in North America.
A strategic alliance with a global vision
The arrival of Tongling, a company founded in 2007 that works with global manufacturers such as Volkswagen and General Motors, is a direct response to the reconfiguration of global supply chains.
Its plant in Castro del Río will be a comprehensive platform for research, production, and sales of key components such as boards and door panels. This facility will not only boost economic activity, but will also generate between 460 and 540 direct jobs throughout its two phases of operation, offering opportunities for development and formal, quality employment to families in Irapuato.
